Delta: Retrofitting in rockwork to an older, traditional pool.
Delta: Retrofitting in rockwork to an older, traditional pool. This 1960's traditional pool was there when the buyer purchased the house, so we added elements of rock work around different sections of the pool to make a bit more natural and to fit in with the rest of the landscape design.

Southlands, Vancouver: A gorgeous waterpark creation in a private of backyard. This 35' x 40' resort-style pool features a hot tub, areas for rock climbing and cliff jumping, waterfalls, warm shallows, two "beaches" and sun tanning rock beds.

Pitt Meadows, Greater Vancouver: Peter's latest project has it all; this pool features a grotto/cave behind this waterfall, while the water from raised warm pool with seating returns to the main pool via a rockwork stream.

Richmond: Make a wish! Your backyard dreams can come true. This large hot tub and swimming pool combination has a rock bridge, waterfalls and a cave. You can swim through the hot tub cave into the hot tub pool, and then climb through hot tub shallows into the pool. There is a second hot tub above the cave.
Richmond: looking out from the upper hot tub. A smaller pool was developed in front so the client could build his house over it and swim through right to the house. Total time on this project: 4 months.
Richmond: Peter was inspired by natural rock formations along the Sea to Sky Highway. This was a difficult excavation due to Richmond groundwater issues. We used special water filters to assist in excavation and added layers of gravel to stabilize the area.

South Surrey: The best backyard on South Surrey's Street of Dreams. We designed this unique pool for clients who wanted to spend a lot of time at home. Per the client's request, we integrated traditional swimming pool and rockwork features. This pool has a beautiful mural painted on the bottom of the pool.
South Surrey: why use stairs when you can wade in, just like at the beach? This was our first pool with a 'beach' walk in. It's aesthetically pleasing and is great for wading, or just lying in the warm shallows in the sunshine. The pathway in the photo takes you to another pool access and a diving rock.
South Surrey: Other side of the 'beach' and a different access area. The white beach is actually made of marcite, which is a type of pool plaster. It's very very smooth and is lovely to walk, lie or sit on. It's the final layer that we put on all our pools and hot tubs.
South Surrey: An example of a pool and pond that are connected together. Shown is the pond portion that connects to the other water features in the backyard. There are a variety of fish in the pond. The entire area of the water features and rock work is approximately 45' x 40'.
Eagle Ridge, West Vancouver: A view from the heavens…looking out at Point Grey. The magnificent vista is exaggerated by the pool's infinity edge. We took advantage of the property's slope, and built the pool and hot tub on multiple levels.
Eagle Ridge, West Vancouver: from another angle. The sitting rock, and across from it: the guard rail rock.
Lower West Vancouver: No, it's not a resort in Arizona, it just looks and feels that way… The Arizona rock style was used to integrate with the other landscape features on the property. The styling and the warmer coloured rockwork created a smoothness quite different from West Coast inspired rockwork. Behind the waterfall is 'secret' hot tub area.
Lower West Vancouver: The clients wanted to create the feeling they could be in the desert. Extending from the pool, there is a patio area complete with a rockwork fire pit and a spectacular rock seating area.
Lower West Vancouver: Close up of Arizona style waterfall and hot tub. We created natural feeling hollow outs for the seating in the hot tub, as if millions of years of water erosion had created this water feature just for our clients… Behind the curtain of water is a very private seating area for two.

Peter's philosophy about his pools is that the experience of swimming in one should be as close as possible to relaxing in a natural water environment: "You want to feel that you are swimming in water and surrounded by rockwork that has been here for hundreds of thousands of years... that you are part of grander scheme of a pristine natural environment..."

From Whistler to White Rock, China to the Caribbean, and many places between, Peter has created natural and resort style swimming pools and customized water parks that bring the experience of swimming at the beach, climbing at the oceanfront, floating in a lagoon, or wading in a soothing riverbed... right to your backyard.
